When someone in our family struggled with ongoing sleeplessness — often having to rely on sleeping pills, and starting to feel unrefreshed, foggy-headed and drowsy during the day, in a way that affected their everyday quality of life — we wanted to find a gentler alternative.
From our care for family came “LAMOONCHAN Aromatic Oil for Sleep”
The light that keeps us awake… may be the very same light that makes tonight harder to sleep.
Blue light is visible light energy with a short wavelength of roughly 380–500 nanometres, and it carries more energy than other colours of light. Exposure to blue light at night suppresses the release of the hormone melatonin, making it harder to fall asleep. It most often affects school and university students, working-age adults and older adults who spend long hours looking at computers and phones.
02
Hormones & Body Rhythm
As we age, or when the body goes through hormonal changes, the natural sleep–wake rhythm may shift, so the release of melatonin — a key hormone that helps set the timing of sleep — may become less regular than before. In addition, some health conditions, as well as times when the body’s hormones are changing, may affect sleep quality, making it harder to fall asleep, causing you to wake in the night, or leaving you not fully rested.
This can occur in older adults, people going through hormonal changes, and people with health factors that disturb their sleep.
03
Built-up Stress
STRESS & OVERTHINKING
When the body stops to rest, it doesn’t mean… the mind stops too.
In people under stress, the body releases too much cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones keep the body alert and the heart beating fast, which suppresses the release of melatonin, making it hard to fall asleep or to sleep soundly.
Most people with depression tend to have trouble sleeping, because of an imbalance of chemicals in the brain (neurotransmitters).

A New Bed, a New Place
SLEEP ENVIRONMENT
Your surroundings affect sleep more than you might think. When the mattress, pillow, light, sound or temperature differ from what you’re used to, the brain may stay on alert.
So you may fall asleep more slowly, sleep less deeply or wake more easily than usual — especially at first, while the body hasn’t fully adjusted.
This can occur in people who change their bed or bedroom, and people who travel and stay in unfamiliar places.
05
Travel Across Time Zones
TIME ZONE / JET LAG
Travelling across time zones leaves the body clock (circadian rhythm) unable to keep up with the new local time, so the body’s sleep–wake timing drifts out of step.
Melatonin is then released at the wrong time, causing daytime sleepiness, difficulty sleeping at night, or waking at unsuitable hours. This is commonly known as “jet lag”.
This can occur in people who often travel across time zones, and people with irregular sleep–wake times.
Some things…take time
to become the very best
SOME THINGS TAKE TIME AND THAT’S A GOOD THING01
More than 2 years of research and testing
We studied research papers and texts, tested again and again, took notes, reviewed, and slowly came to understand the nature of each herb in depth — to arrive at what is right, and best.
2 YEARS OF RESEARCH02
3–6 months of waiting…
Once we had what we were looking for, we chose not to rush — because some ingredients need time to mature, so they come into harmony and are ready to offer their very best.
We let time do its work, slowly bringing every element together, so the fragrance gently softens and carries you into peaceful sleep.
3–6 MONTHS OF NATURAL MATURATION
“ Some things cannot be made whole in a hurry, but slowly grow whole and beautiful, given enough time. ”
A KINDER TOMORROW TAKES TIME
Every drop is carefully matured so the fragrance blends gently together, and the time before sleep… becomes calmer still.
Lavender is among the essential oils widely studied for relaxation and sleep quality. Its gentle fragrance helps create a relaxing atmosphere, ease feelings of tension and prepare the body for rest.
Key compounds such as linalool and linalyl acetate are associated with the nervous system’s relaxation processes, and several studies have found that inhaling lavender scent may help support sleep quality and ease restlessness before bed.
Eucalyptus has a fresh, airy scent that feels clean. Its key compound, 1,8-cineole (also known as eucalyptol), is the main component behind its distinctive cool, refreshing aroma.
The scent of eucalyptus helps create a clear, comfortable and refreshed feeling, and pairs well with relaxing scents before bed for a more comfortable, balanced atmosphere.
Fingerroot (Boesenbergia rotunda) is a Thai herb with a long history of use, and it contains many phytochemicals, especially flavonoids.
In the LAMOONCHAN formula, fingerroot is part of the herbal blend, adding depth to the scent and a warm, comfortable, relaxing feeling during moments of rest.
Tea tree has a distinctive scent that is clean, fresh and herbal. Tea tree essential oil is known for its qualities as an essential oil and for a scent that feels clean.
Although tea tree is not primarily an essential oil for sleep, its fresh, airy scent can help create a light, easy atmosphere and bring balance to the formula’s overall fragrance.
Benzoin has a warm, deep fragrance with a calming feel, which is why it is often used in perfumery and aroma products to create a relaxing atmosphere.
In the LAMOONCHAN formula, benzoin brings warmth, soft depth and balance to the scent — well suited to the time before bed and a restful atmosphere.
